Plan For the Sekirei

Musubi on Minato

If you like bubbly busty ladies, in cloth shredding battles, than look no further than Sekirei.  It has it all, and it will blow your mind.

Let's say you're an 18-year-old college guy, who just flunked his entrance exams for the second time,  what would cheer you up?  That's right, a bootilicious young girl, barely dressed, landing right on your face.

The main character, and eventual harem king, is Minato, a young would-be college student, down on his luck, until Musubi literally lands on him.  Then, she bonds with him, and finds herself burning form the inside for him to help her emerge, which he does by leaning into one-another for a very deep kiss.

It's a must see.

Minato doesn't stop there.  He goes on episode after episode, acquiring more of these Sekirei's in the same manor, and it is epic.

The actual point of the show, is something called the Sekirei plan, which is dominated over by a diabolical overlord, who's name I can't remember, professor something or other.  It doesn't really matter.  He's easily identifiable, and definitely evil.

This professor is pitting the Sekirei's against each other in battle, and the one that remains will get to live happily ever after with her Ashikabi.  That's what they call the person who allows them to emerge--hint, hint!!!

Anyway, each of these Sekirei's has a different skill, some with water, fire, knives, fists, etc, each trying to gain advantages in different ways.

There are two seasons of the show that I know of.  The first is pretty good, and sets the tone nicely for the show, but things REALLY start to heat up in the second season, with a couple of HOT additions.

I'm telling you, this show is full of animalistic ecchi action, at its finest.  The main character Minato, plays the role of the chivalrous hero, who would never take advantage of his position, but he could.  And there are plenty of opportunities for him to do so.

To learn a little bit more about Sekirei, or it's adaptation from the manga, check out Sekirei on Wikipedia.

Royal Rumble, Come and Gone...What Happened?

Yesterday was the 2015 Royal Rumble, and in my last blog update, I made some wild prediction.  I'll be honest, I felt pretty good about them, so how did I do?

NOT SO GOOD!

New Day

Match #1 was Kofi Kingston and Big E of New Day, versus Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.  First off, I thought it was a six-man tag-team match, but I was wrong right there.  It was just a tag-team.

I predicted New Day would beat their rivals will plenty of cheating to go around.  I was incorrect, as Cesaro and Kidd took the match, however, there was a bit of cheating.

But what I really predicted was that this match wouldn't matter, and I was right.  The Philly wrestling fans booed New Day, and when the match was over, and they lost, it was like it never happened.

The Ascension vs New Age Outlaws

This one I got right.  I picked The Ascension, and they took out the not so New Age Outlaws, who catered quite well to the Philly crowd, but were dominated in a short match with the colorful young upstarts.

However, I'm still of the opinion that The Ascension is a sideshow that won't get much respect, unless they can take on the Usos, and win.

The Usos vs The Miz and Mizdow

Speak of the devil, The Usos are really the only cool horse in the tag-team race, at this point.  Miz and Mizdow put up their typical bafoonary, as expected.  Mizdow never really got in the match, and The Usos defended their tag-team championship belts.

Again, I love the Usos high-flying, but without a rival that makes any sense, they're only as good as their competition.  Is The Ascension the rival they're looking for?  Was this a set up for Wrestlemania?  Maybe...But who knows.

That's two-for-three, so far, but that's the last match I predicted correctly.

Paige and Natalya vs The Bella Twins

In a short match, as is usual with the divas, the Bella Twins, took down Paige and Natalya.  It was a little disappointing, because I thought Paige was the big up-and-comer of this match, and this was a chance for her to shine, but she did't get much screen time at all.

Instead, Natalya battled the Bella's, nearly on her own, as the twins tagged back and forth, keeping the blond Canadien girl under control.  There was a short battle between Brie and Paige, but not much to say.

I also thought Paige was the bad girl of this bunch, and I expected more cheating from her, but the UK Goth didn't do much out of control.  The Bella's looked more out of control than her.  It was a little disappointing.

Still, I'm hopeful this will just fuel the feud between the divas.

Triple Threat Match, Brock Lesnar vs John Cena vs Mr Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins

This match was off the chain.  It was well worth the disappointment on who won, for all the carnage that was caused.

The Philly fans seemed thrilled with Lesnar, and even a little with Rollins, but they booed Cena.  That was surprising enough that even one of the commentators said something.

The match had everything--AAs, F5s, curb-stomps, Lesnar was thrown by Cena through a baracade, and then set up on the announcers table, for Rollins to launch himself off the turn buckle, and into Lesnar's chest, breaking the table.

It looked like a two man race, with Lesnar out, and Paul Heyman shouting for a medic.  They wheeled out a gurney to carry off the wounded defending champ, as Rollins and Cena traded pin chances, and big moves, including Cena's five-knuck shuffle, that garnered boos from the crowd.

But then, Lesnar appeared, from the apron, took out Cena, then Rollins, and pinned Rollins in the middle of the ring, to retain his title for another day.

It was awesome!

30-Man Royal Rumble Match

This was the first time I'd ever seen a Royal Rumble, and I didn't really know what to expect, but I have to say, I thought it was a little lame.  It was so long, and so many guys came in that just shouldn't have been there, like Diamond Dallas Page who looked like he just came in from an old folks home.

Or the Boogeyman, who spent about 30-seconds posturing, and trying to out freak-out Bray Wyatt, before Wyatt finally dispatched him with a single move.  Or what about The Miz, and Mizdow, who had their little tiff at the side of the ring, only to be thrown out in under 10-seconds, each.

I guess the biggest loser of all came when Titus O'Neill trash talked his way down the ramp, and into the ring, only to be tossed right out, in under 4-seconds.  Poor Titus just can't get a break.  There were others I can't really remember, but to be honest, there were so many moving parts to this, it was hard to keep track.

I had made my prediction that Daniel Bryan would come out victorious, so when he entered at #11, and only lasted until about #17, I was a little heart broken.  So much so, that I couldn't really enjoy my real favorite guy in the match, which was Dean Ambrose.

I knew Ambrose wouldn't win, but I like his whole disheveled look, as if he just woke up in a gutter, realizing there was a fight, and charged in with reckless abandon to help out his friends.

It came down to Ambrose and Roman Reigns, the old Shield buddies, versus Big Show and Kane.  Ambrose would be taken out first, leaving Reigns to be man-handled by the two big men.

But in a moment where Kane was about to toss Reigns, Big Show saw an opening to eliminate them both, and took it.  This led to a shoving match between the two giants, that Reigns was able to take advantage of, for the win.  Big Show and Kane re-entered the ring, though, and began the beatdown of Reigns, until some unsuspecting help arrived.

THE ROCK!

That's right, The Rock showed up to help his cousin Reigns in the ring.  After that, it turned out Rusev was still eligible, so he came in for about 10-more seconds, before Reigns easily tossed the fat Bulgarian out, and then pointed at the Wrestlemania sign.

So, there you have it.  The main event at Wrestlemania will feature Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar.  Who will win?  I have a sneaky suspicion that with Lesnar's contract ending in March, Reigns will find a way to beat The Beast.

The thing is, this opens up some interesting narratives.  Obviously, Reigns has a rivalry with Big Show, Seth Rollins and The Authority, so this brings up a number of possible story lines for him.

The Philly crowd, and much of the WWE Universe was disappointed that Daniel Bryan didn't win, but after thinking about it, I have to agree, Bryan is better kept as an underdog.  I enjoy his charisma, and I especially enjoy when he enters the ring angry.

There's another factor here, as well.  When Bryan defeated Kane in his first match back from injury, he was jumped by The Authority, but Ambrose and Reigns came to his rescue, to even the odds.  Then Triple H decided those three would have a six-man tag versus Big Show, Kane and Rollins, and Bryan won the match.

So, I don't think losing the Royal Rumble takes Bryan out of the storyline.  In fact, I think it brings him to the forefront.

Some Other Notes:

Bubba Ray Dudley, WWE

Did you see who came in at #3?  That was Bubba Ray Dudley, or Bully Ray as he's called in TNA Impact.  That was his first appearance in the WWE, since very early on.  I thought he was great.  His presence in the ring was very interest.

I saw toughness, humor and a lot of character.  I especially liked his stand-off with Bray Wyatt.  I think those two could have a hell of a rivalry.

Kurt Axel never actually made it to the ring.  Does that mean he has a legitimate complaint as to having not been eliminated?

The truth is, Axel wouldn't have had much of a chance, because standing there was Wyatt and Luke Harper, obviously as a team waiting to pounce.  Erick Rowan entered, instead, and the three went at each other until Rowan was tossed along with Harper.

What is up with that guy Boogeyman?  Please WWE, do NOT bring him back.  He was just gross.  I was glad to see him gone, so quickly.

And will there be any kind of repercussions for Damien Mizdow with The Miz for what he did?  I'm kind of curious, and I'd like to see The Miz versus Mizdow, at some point.  I'm just saying, I don't get the schtick, anymore.  It was funny for a while, but enough already.

After this title loss, what happens to John Cena?  Will he continue to go at Lesnar, or will there be another target.  In The Royal Rumble Fallout, Cena was seen going head-to-head, literally, with Rusev.  Does this mean, Cena will now go after the United States Champion belt?  That's kind of a step down for him.
But most importantly, can you see Roman Reigns as the WWE Champion?

The Royal Rumble Is Almost Here! My Predictions!

Daniel Bryan, WWE
Daniel Bryan, WWE
Photo Credit: Flickr Creative Commons License by Megan elice Meadows
Sunday night, in Philadelphia, PA, will be the 2015 Royal Rumble, which will set up the championship match for Wrestlemania on March 29, 2015.

Some people know, I've become somewhat of a WWE fan in the past year, and although I won't be at the Royal Rumble, I will most definitely be watching.

Now, I'll admit, I'm an older man, and I certainly don't watch wrestling for the excitement of wondering who is going to win.  The truth is, I almost nearly watch with a preconceived idea of who will win.  It's not about the winners and losers.  I just watch for the entertainment.

But one thing is, I've become rather proficient at picking the outcomes, and since the Royal Rumble is a big event, I'd like to make a few predictions on the matches.

New Day vs Adam Rose, Cesaro and Tyson

This is a six-man tag-team match, and it's a rivalry that's been over-used in the last few weeks.  I'm not sure how many times these guys have faced off, however, I do believe New Day has always won, and they are likely to win this one.

Winner: New Day

However, that's not really a prediction.  The prediction I'd like to make is, the most entertaining part of this fight will be watching the women who travel to the ring with Adam Rose, Cesaro and Tyson Kid shake their booty's.  Everything after that will be a snoozefest.  New Day and the other three nobodies should be put to bed.

The Ascension vs New Age Outlaws

The Ascension was originally cast as being one of the most dominant tag-teams to enter the WWE, since the Road Warriors, however, all they've done is behave like bafoons, and lose matches.

The New Age Outlaws have outlived their time, and they aren't likely to win this match, but The Ascension beating them will be kind of like watching Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy on Sponge Bob try to win a wrestling match.

Winner: The Ascension

But my real prediction for this match is, if The Ascension doesn't beat a legitimate tag-team, like The Usos, forget about them ever rising to the top.  They will forever be a sideshow.

Natalya and Paige vs the Bella Twins

This match sees the first belt appear, and likely will be the first match with any real relevance.  The divas of WWE don't usually get much time to wrestle, and they don't get to develop any kind of decent rivalries, but the Bella Twins have been the hot item among the divas for some time, now.

But since Paige exploded from NXT, won the Divas Championship belt from AJ Lee, it appears that she is the rising star, and a rivalry has brewed between her and Nikki Bella.  Natalya and Paige have had their way with the Bella Twins in recent weeks, and they will probably do it again this week.

Winner: Natalya and Paige

The real prediction, however, is Stephanie McMahon will likely make an appearance, and indicate that this victory demonstrates that Paige is the number one contender, and at Wrestlemania, Nikki Bella will have to defend her Divas title against Paige.

GO PAIGE!!!

The Usos vs The Miz and Mizdow

The Usos are the current tag-team champions, and they'll have to defend their titles against the tag-team they won it against, The Miz and, and his quirky stunt-double, Mizdow.

The Usos have easily handled The Miz in the past, and they recently tried to sew the seeds of dissension into their opponents by telling Mizdow to be his own man.  What really makes this strange is The Miz and Mizdow, are both entrants in the later 30-man Royal Rumble main event, so how can they put up much of a fight here, and then expect to win the Royal Rumble.

Winner: The Usos

However, my real prediction, is that The Miz and Mizdow will continue their bafoonary, and this will be their final match as a tag-team.  Mizdow will go on to eliminate The Miz in the Royal Rumble event, and all in attendance will cheer.  HURRAAAAAY FOR MIZDOW!!!

Unfortunately for Mizdow, this will mean he will go back to being the disconnected B-list wrestler he was before.

3-Way Threat Match, Brock Lesnar vs John Cena vs Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins

This is one of the matches I'm really looking forward to, and after what John Cena did on Raw the previous week, I am even more excited.  Something like that doesn't happen just to have a guy lose his title shot--not in WWE, anyway.

So, I expect that this match will be long, full of action, back-stabbing, curb-stomping, top-rope jumping and all sorts of body throwing.  I also expect The Authority to get their dirty little hands involved.

The thing here is, I've come to realize that Brock Lesnar isn't much of a WWE wrestler, or a champion.  Sure, he's a physical speciman of perfection, but hand him a microphone, and don't expect much.

Also, I learned that Brock Lesnar is leaving the WWE in March to rejoin the UFC, where all he needs are his muscles, not his brain.  He can handle that.  So, I'm thinking someone else will win the belt, right here, and headline Wrestlemania on March 29.

Winner: John Cena

But, whoa whoa whoa, not so fast.  I did say that The Authority would probably get involved, and that is my prediction, here.  The face of the company, the champion, will have just enough time to stand shirtless and soaked in sweat swaying from the excessive body-slams, to hold the belt up to the crowd, before...

BIG SHOW, KANE, J&J SECURITY AND MR. MONEY IN THE BANK himself, get involved.  They'll gang up on him, and sucker punch him, until Rollins inevitable curb-stomps him into unconsciousness.  Then, with Cena down motionless, the evil Rollins will cash in the briefcase for another shot at the title, right then and there.

WINNER: SETH ROLLINS

30-Man Royal Rumble Match, Main Event

Going into something like this, there's plenty to think about.  There are a number of cool names to consider as possible winners, but there was a bit of a give away this past Thursday, on Smackdown.

On Smackdown, Daniel Bryan, in order to qualify for the Royal Rumble match, had to defeat Kane in a no-disqualifications match.  To try and ensure victory, Kane brought J&J Security with him to help from ring-side.

The two smallish security guards were not enough, as the buzz-saw, Daniel Bryan took down J&J, and then pinned Kane.  His victory set off a sneak attack from Big Show, that brought Bryan into a 4-on-1 beatdown that also included Kane and J&J.

The other wrestlers that had to qualify, however, came to Bryan's rescue, that included Dolff Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowen.  More wrestlers poured out of the back, and into the ring, until it was probably thirty-men, all shoving one-another out.

The last standing men, were Ziggler, Ryback, Bryan, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, with Kane and Big Show on the apron.  These are the who's who of who actually matters.  However, not all of them actually will.

I've already predicted that Seth Rollins will win the championship belt, and the winner of this match will face him at Wrestlemania, it needs to be someone that will make sense.  Big Show and Kane will obviously be gone.  Ziggler, Ryback and Rowen have different rivalries, so Rollins isn't in their picture.

The three relevant players are Bryan, Ambrose and Reigns.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Reigns is the favorite, but you don't fight off Kane as well as J&J Security for the win, to come up short.  At least not in the WWE.

I look forward to seeing Daniel Bryan versus Seth Rollins at Wrestemania.

WWE, Don't Forget the Ladies

WWE Divas
WWE Divas
Photo Credit: Flickr Creative Commons License by DuckPuppy
In the past year, or so, I've become an avid fan of the WWE.  It kind of snuck up on me, but I started watching with my son, and now I'm hooked.

After several months of this, I've caught on to a trend.  The ladies, or divas, don't get much time on air.  In a 90-minute episode of RAW, there might be a single divas match that lasts less than 10-minutes.

Now, I get it.  The muscle bound guys, such as John Cena, Randy Orton and Big Show are the ones that sell tickets, but why not give the ladies a little more presence.

One of the things I've come to love about WWE, is the story lines, that move from week to week.  I tune in to watch RAW and Smackdown, to make sure I know what's going on more than anything.  The actual wrestling, is just a sideshow to the dramatics.  It's all about the speeches, the taunting, the challenges and what-not.

For example, I was riveted to my seat this past week, watching to see if John Cena could beat the authority's big dogs in a 3-on-1 match, just to get the jobs of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowen back.  I thought it was great entertainment, and I'm excited to see this upcoming Smackdown to see if the three of them show up, as a result of Cena's stunning victory, aided by the vigilante Sting.

Eye Candy
Eye Candy

However, anytime the ladies hit the ring, I'm thinking, what does this even matter?  I guess what I'm really trying to say is, the ladies have absolutely zero relevance to the story lines each week.  There are no rivalries, no story threads, no back and forths, and really no reason to even take notice of what they're doing.

I am not in the least interested to see what the Bella twins are up to each week, or any of the other ladies.  The only reason, I believe they cart them out is for the eye candy.

Now, I don't want to come off sounding like I don't like eye-candy, because I most certainly do, but why not give them a little more substance than just skimpy outfits, and nice hair.  How about a continuous story line with good gals versus bad gals?  How about some semi-realistic drama that can get the wrestling fans attention each week?

One thing that might work, is mixing up the boys and girls.  I mean, it's not an eighth grade dance.  They're allowed to mingle.  I liked the story about Naomi with the Miz and the Usos.  I liked all the stories with AJ Lee, and most of the male roster.  Why not a little more of that?

What about a tawdry affair between Paige and Dean Ambrose, the lunatic fringe?  Now there's a couple that goes together like mace and handcuffs.

Maybe the two of them start destroying, and manipulating their way through the WWE's finest, all the way to the first ever championship couple.  He the heavyweight champ, and she the divas champ.  What would that look like?

I even have a thought on how it could all get started.  How about Charlotte Flair, daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, get's a title shot against Nikki Bella.  Before the match, her father gives her a good luck charm he took into all his big matches.

Charlotte leaves the good luck charm in the corner of the ring, as the match starts with Nikki.  Charlotte looks good, and even looks like she will probably win, until Paige appears out of the crowd to snatch the good luck charm from Charlotte's corner.

Charlotte notices this--she gets distracted, and screams at Paige to bring it back.  But before she can go after here, Nikki Bella capitalizes on the distraction, to pin Charlotte, and retain her divas championship belt.

It doesn't end there.  The camera follows Paige into the back of the arena, where she stumbles upon Ambrose.  She flirts with him for a few moments, and gives him the charm, as a gift.  Ambrose thinks its cool, and pockets the charm, as Paige darts off, with Charlotte hot on her tail.

Paige, as WWE Divas Champion

Charlotte chases Paige into the parking lot, and it becomes a street brawl.  This is just the beginning of the feud, which fuels a rivalry between Paige and Charlotte for months, where they each sabotage each other's matches.  But Charlotte's not as good at the bad stuff as Paige, and when Paige gets  her shot at the title with Nikki Bella, Charlotte's interference is all Paige needs to retake the divas championship.

Huh?!? Huh?!? You know you like it, right?  I mean come on!  What's that?  How's Ambrose become the champ?  Well, I can't think of everything, can I.

And if that doesn't work, do you know what the ladies need?  Someone like...

Freezing, and the Best Touch of All

Satellizer el Bridget Chained Up

Tell me, do you like the boobies?  If your answer is anything other than, yes, than feel free to move on.

The first I heard of the anime, Freezing, was when I saw an image of one of its main protagonists, Satellizer el Bridget, down on her hands and knees, with her dress flipped up over her back, and her panties pulled down.  I had to know more.

Later, I discovered, this was one of many scenes peppered throughout this battle vixen style harem anime, that depicted curvy girls, in various stages of undress.

The anime Freezing, is about a world that's been under attack by some kind of otherworldly aliens, called Nova, that have an ability to freeze their enemies, as a part of their attack, so the government, created schools, such as the fictitious West Genetics, to engineer young girls, called Pandoras, and then teach them to fight using some strange elemental abilities.

Each young girl, is powerless without a young male companion, called a Limiter, to limit the freezing area of the enemy.  This companionship can be quite intimate in certain cases.

Satellizer el Bridget Coupling

The school's best student, Satellizer el Bridget, won't bond with any Limiter, giving her the nickname, the Untouchable Queen, because of some fear of contact.  That is until she meets a boy, named Kazuya, who happens to be the younger brother of a girl who had last repelled a Nova attack, and lost her life.

The actual plot of the story is unnecessary, to watch the story.  It's basically, a school that pits the girls in clothes shredding, humiliation style battles, where they and their male companions, come under fire, and reveal their true feelings for one another, typically revolving around a great deal of physical contact.

The two main types of male characters in harem style anime, are either 1.) the perv or 2.) the honorable, but bumbling young boy.  Kazuya is the boy in this one, and his personality takes on number two.  He frequently ties his hardest to help Bridget, or demand that others show her respect, but his bumbling cavalier efforts, usually lead to Bridget becoming undressed, or him being stuffed between her huge breasts.

This is not a bad thing, in fact it's a part of what makes the show so awesome.  The scene that initially got me interested in this show, was one of those.  Bridget is in a fight with an upper classman, who should easily defeat here, so Kasuya steps in in her defense.  Bridge attempts to get away in the distraction, only to see Kazuya get trapped in her opponents freezing zone, so she goes back for him, giving her opponent the upper hand, and gets herself frozen.

This leads to a series of humiliating gestures, where down in her hands and knees, her dress is flipped up, and her panties are pulled down.  It's a hell of a scene.  And a hell of a show.

Each episode sees Bridget and Kazuya take on more and more difficult foes, all the while their relationship is becoming ever more deepened.  It's the way this kind of show should work, in my opinion.  I enjoy the vulnerable, uncomfortable ecchi/harem style animes.

If you were to ask me about the down side of this show, it would have to be, that the plot does actually come into effect.  As the show develops, the Nova wind up invading, and the real plot of the show interferes, with all of the excellent ecchi action, adding a bit too serious a tone.

But even with that, the show is amazing, and if you are into ecchi/harem style anime, you will not be disappointed.

I've only seen the first season of this, but there is a second season that I still haven't taken the time to watch, called Freezing: Vibrations.  The only thing is, I still can't find it dubbed in English, yet, only with subtitles, and that is not the way I like to watch this type of show.

If you want to know more about it, or its adaptation from the manga, check out Freezing on Wikipedia.

Next week, I'll review Sekirei.

Makin' Whoopie With Maken-Ki!

Haruko from Maken-ki Fanart
by Jackson Thom
If you were looking for some high brow anime that would touch your soul, let me stop you right there.  Maken-Ki is not the one.

Last week, I said, I'd be reviewing my favorite ecchi (or fan service) animes, starting with Maken-Ki, which is definitely one of my faves.  It comes in at number five.

So, the story revolves around a the main character Takeru, a girl-crazed boy, who's just transferred to the formerly all girls school, Tenbi Academy.  He's beyond excited at this fact, because due to the fact that it was previously an all girls school, the ratio of boys to girls is fantastically in Takeru's favor.

On his first day of school, at Tenbi Academy, he walks with his childhood friend Haruko, who he hasn't seen in years, but has since developed into an exceedingly buxom and beautiful girl.  There's immediate chemistry, but neither will openly admit to it.

Kodama From Maken-ki Fanart
by Jackson Thom
Once Takeru arrives at the school, he suddenly realizes that it's  not just a school it's a training ground for young people to hone a magically elemental fighting power, to some day battle an evil unknown enemy.  This offers many changes for some exciting clothes shredding duels, which are fully sanctioned by the school, and overseen by a committee, called Maken-ki, which makes sure all of the duels remain fair.

Of course, Takeru, along with Haruko become members of Maken-ki, along with a couple others, and thus, Takeru's harem begins.  He also begins living in a dorm room of his own, that quickly becomes the home of three other girls, including Haruko, Kodama, who initially doesn't like Takeru, and another girl, Inaho, who claims that Takeru is her fiance.

The truth behind the plot of this story, is it's not really much to keep you mind occupied.  The real reason to watch this show, or any ecchi harem anime, is for the boob and panty shots, and there are plenty of those.

I only watched the first season, which is the only one that is dubbed, the second season is only in sub-titles, and I can tell you the animation is great.  They ecchi is delivered, along with the sexual chemistry between several of the characters, each revolving around the main perverted character Takeru.

There are steaming bath scenes, there are pool scenes, there are the aforementioned cloth shredding battle scenes, as well as one single episode dedicated to a french maid restaurant, where many of the main characters get part time jobs.  If you're looking for ecchi, this one delivers.

There are a couple minor blemishes on the show, however.  The main one being that there is really is no story.  The students are all preparing to battle some strange nemesis, which you do get to see later in the first season, but for the most part, there's no real payoff, so there's nothing to watch the show for, other than the boob and panty shots.

I'm not saying that's at all a bad thing, it just might be nice to give a crap about what's going on a little.

The other minor downside here, is many ecchi animes show the boob and butt shots coming into contact, somehow accidentally with another person.  This show, however, rarely does that.  There's the occasional smothering of boobs in face, but often the show revolves around Takeru, and another perv boy he befriends ogling the girls from a distance.

I'm not saying this is a let down.  I'm just saying some contact would be better.  But for the most part, Maken-ki delivers as one of my favorite ecchi animes.

If you want to know more about it, or its adaptation from the manga, check out Maken-ki on Wikipedia.

Next week, I'll review Freezing.

Heeeeeeey!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone had a good holiday season, and rang in the New Year with a bit of holiday ANGST.  I can't image what that may be, but I'll never tell.  Anyway, all I can say is, I hope you all had a blast.

So, the new year is upon us, and it's time for the new years resolutions.  Well, I've made mine, but since I'm also not much for keeping them, I'll also be keeping them to myself.  Anyway, sufficed to say, they're pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.

I'm very much looking forward to 2015, and I've gotten off to a brilliant start.  I published a new piece of art to my gallery on DeviantArt.  You can see the a clip of the pic to the right.  I've also, got a few more things queued up, and on the way.  So, stay tuned.

Check out my new piece, Mission From the Past, here.  You can go on over there, and leave some feedback, or even buy a print if you like.

I also submitted the art to my Zazzle store to be sold as printed apparel.  Why not, go ahead, and check out Mission From the Past on a t-shirt?

Something else I've got on my radar is, I'd like to review some of the favorite, and not so favorite anime series.  I've got a number of them in mind, but I couldn't think of a better place to start than my TOP 5 ECCHI ANIMES!

They are, in order:
5. Maken-Ki
4. Freezing
3. Sekirei
2. Queen's Blade
1. High School DxD

I'll start from number 5, later this week, and continue on until I've reached my all-time (so far, that is) ecchi anime, "High School DxD."

Being that I'll be starting with ecchi, my review won't be the same as other anime reviews.  I'd like to take it from a different angle.  The criteria will include amount of ecchi, usage of ecchi, chemistry of characters and dialogue, art of course, sexual tension and the story itself.

I think you're going to love it!

I'd also like to leave you with this video with this youtube video from "Baby Metal."  Let me know what you think if it.  I am still trying to process what I saw, but I think I like it.
